welcome
to this simple page which I've created for folk who've read Troubled Waters.

First off, thanks for buying the book!

Secondly, I hope you liked it!

Thirdly, sorry to say there won't be a second edition covering season five and six, much as I'd like there to be.

I wrote it because I'm a genuine enthusiast for the show but I'm sure there will be some of you who hated some of reviews, or who have questions, or maybe even errors to correct (not too many of those, I hope!)

You can contact me and reply to any mails I receive

Just wandering if you will write another book about seasons 5 & 6? I couldn't put Troubled Waters down thought it was great!!!!! Thanks!!!
Gee

Your book is great! I had to read it "in one go" (against what you suggested) because it's very interesting. BTW, you miss a blooper in the episode 220 (Reunited): when Pacey tries to open the bathroom door where Andie is, you can actually see that he opens it. :-) Thanks.

I love your book!! It is the best book I have ever read and I read it in 1 day as I couldn't put it down!!! I really want, no NEED you to write another Dawson's Creek book !! Will you???!?!
Rebecca

Scott, congratulations on the perfect analysis of every episode of Dawson's Creek. I hate reviewers who feel the need to defend everything a show has ever put forward, so your carefree "put-downs" of certain aspects of the show are quite welcome. They made me laugh even if some other people are unappreciative. What I'd really like to hear is your analysis of season five character Audrey. Pacey made the comment a few weeks ago to Joey about Audrey: "How did we ever get through high school without this girl?" I'm obliged whole-heartedly to agree with him. How about you? Anyway Scott, congrats once again. Dawson's Creek enthusiasts around the world should bow down to your genius.

I just bought the book today and I thought it was great, lol I actually bought it so I could read it when I go on the train to London next week, but I read a few pages of it today and couldn't put it down it's great, I'm half way though and really enjoying it.

I'm one of the many adults that I know are out there who passionately love the Creek. I don't have patience for much of the fan literature because I feel it is written for 12-year-olds. This book is great because it is quite readable for the adult crowd. All the episodes you missed are recapped. Explanations are given for possible inconsistencies and still others are pointed out. Some of the inside jokes are exposed (who knew the producers were so clever?). It's a trip down memory lane and a terrific insight into the characters. I give it a hearty thumbs up.
Emily K (who gave me five stars on Amazon.com, for which many thanks Emily)

OK - I haven't finished reading the book - but thought I'd let you know that I am really enjoying it - it's helping me re-live the episodes I haven't seen for ages. I don't necessarily agree with all your opinions, but that's what makes life interesting!
Naomi

We love your guide! It is perfect because it goes into way more detail than the official ones do. Also as we have only been into Dawson's for about a year, it helps us catch up a lot! Thank you for producing the best guide ever!!
Jo and Bethany (who also put a nice review up on Amazon.co.uk)

WoW!!! I thought that your book was brilliant. It had so much information in it, I mean I thought I knew a lot about the actors but even I learnt some stuff. I really like the different sections in the book, and it has all the information you could want!!! However I have to disagree about your views on the beginning of Season 3. I think that it was a really good opening to the season because it was different and unexpected. Fair enough it was a bit far-fetched but I thought it was a gr8 change. Thankz loads for writing so a cool book!!!
Faye

I bought your book and I really loved it! I wasn't planning on reading it all in one go but I just couldn't help myself! I really loved your book because you established some of the faults of the show, gave the reader a brilliant insight to it and worded it all perfectly. And I really respect the fact that you remained unbiased...if it were me then I would have gone on ranting about the faults of Dawson. Planning on writing another book? I hope so!
Some nice person who didn't input their name or email address :-(

I read the book and I loved it. It makes a great reference for when you want to prove a point to your friends and you can't be bothered to find the right episode in your extensive collection (not that I have one or anything!) Thanks a lot and well done.
Sally

I loved the book! Mostly because it is intelligent and not wrapped up in the actors who bring it to life, though dare I admit it they are perhaps 50% of the reason I tune in every week. So thanks.
Laura (London, England)

I am really enjoying reading your book, so much so that it is distracting me from my work. I really like the book, especially your analysis of the episodes, very astute and spoken like a true Capesider.

THANK YOU WHOLEHEARTEDLY for writing the definitive guide to the greatest show ever, Dawson's Creek! You've done a wonderful job and the depth you went into was marvellous for a diehard like myself! To call it the essential guide to the show is not doing it justice. It is that good!
